Capture Expertise with the Knowledge Service Modeler 6.0 Today!

Discovery Machine, Inc. released Version 6.0 of its Knowledge Service Modeler today. The new release includes many usability enhancements and a user friendly knowledge acquisition feature.  Enhanced user capabilities facilitate easy automation of complex cognitive knowledge for use with business intelligence, training, simulation, and other solutions.

Discovery Machine, Inc. announced the release of The Knowledge Service Modeler version 6.0 today.  Designed with the user in mind, The Knowledge Service Modeler allows anyone to document the cognitive decision-making potential of their pivotal performers.  With new enhancements to the software, version 6.0 makes it easier than ever to capture the complex cognitive decision-making process of an expert and utilize that knowledge in a variety of automated solutions including, business intelligence, training, and simulation needs.

“Discovery Machine has always been focused on being user friendly,” said Anna Griffith, CEO of Discovery Machine.  “With version 6.0 we now allow users to easily create customized components for the Knowledge Service Modeler to fit their individual preferences.”

Version 6.0 builds upon the success of Discovery Machine Inc.’s patented technology and methodology.  This methodology, developed through cognitive science research for DARPA and the Department of Defense, has been fine-tuned to further facilitate the documentation of an expert’s decision-making process and broaden the positive impact of key individuals.  By walking through the methodology, the entire decision-making process is documented and able to be utilized in different applications.  Since, the Discovery Machine Knowledge Service Modeler can interact with virtually any Java-based computer program, the possibilities are limitless.

With version 6.0 it is much easier to interact with an expert’s documented knowledge.  One new feature which eases interaction is the new User Interface Builder.  With this builder, users are able to design their own pop-up windows to interact with completed decision models.  In this way, users have control over how they gather and utilize information to make the model run.  These new interfaces are quick and easy to develop and even allow for individual users to create their own custom input windows to match their personal preferences.

To further facilitate usability, version 6.0 allows users to create plug-ins and attach them to drop down menus in the Knowledge Service Modeler.  These new plug-ins give the user more power and enhance the capabilities of the Knowledge Service Modeler to fit individual needs.
